Please, always contact us concerning size of rings and whether an item comes in 14k or 18k, white or yellow gold; platinum or palladium. (Remember paladium is not the same as platinum although it is often grouped with platinum, iridium and rhodium). There can be a big difference in price between all these metals however, and some of that price difference is determined by the weight of the mounting and whether the mounting was cast or die struck as well as how nicely it was finished. We prefer selling mountings that are well made and strong enough to last a long time! When looking for semi-mount, please remember we can find a center stone that you like. Just let us know the quality of the stone that you would like-from IF; VVS 1 or2; SI 1 or 2; or I1 (we don’t recommend anything lower) in clarity grade and in color grade D,E,F,G,H, or lower. The style of cut might also be important such as a brilliant cut, emerald cut, pear shape, or even some of the newer cuts such as radiant or princess or even trilliant. The cutting of the brilliant cut diamonds are also graded from Excellent to poor and this is important if you want your diamond ro refract a lot of light back to your eyes. The above grading systems are mostly for diamonds, but we are able to get some fine colored stones if you prefer. Happy Shopping..
